So far it's been an exciting summer full of shows around the world!
My first summer stop was Potsdam, Germany with the William Kentridge directed collaboration with the Handspring Puppet Company: "Il Ritorno D'Ulisse" We had a a great run with many bonus curtain calls at each show. I'm looking forward to seeing where else we go with the show!

This July I headed up to Salem, NY to work with The Mettawee River Theatre Company on their newest show, "Before the Sun and Moon". We started working on the show last summer and had a very successful return to the show this year. I returned to the company as assistant director as well as a puppeteer in various points throughout the show. For more about the company head here: http://mettawee.org/wordpress/
And now I'm in Brisbane, Australia with Dead Puppet Society working on their latest production, "Laser Beak Man"! I've been apart of several workshops over the past couple years of the show and I'm so excited that we finally get to do a full production! Click HERE for some pictures of our workshop process and head to http://laboite.com.au/laser-beak-man/ for info on the show's premiere.
And finally this fall I'll be traveling with the cast of "Feathers Of Fire: A Persian Epic" to LA and San Francisco. "Feathers of Fire" is a cinematic shadow puppet and mask show adapted from a story contained in The Shahnameh. So far I've been to Toronto and Taiwan with the show and can't wait to bring it to more places around the world! For more info check out: http://www.kingorama.com/feathersoffire/
I'm also continuing to puppeteer for Hamid Rahmanian (The creator of "Feathers of Fire") in his short shadow adaptation of the Iranian legend of The Serpent King around NYC. Our latest gigs were at BAM and National Sawdust for groups of very excited kids. Looking forward to performing it more in the future!
This past year I taught an afterschool program to a group of six very smart girls at Spence on the Upper East side. They were full of energy and made some fun puppets for stories they created!
This past year I took part in a residency with The Shadow Box Theatre Co. at PS 3 in Bedstuy. I helped coordinate and build puppets for a play based around the music of the experimental jazz artist from Saturn, Sun Ra! The kids made wild puppets and the performance was lots of fun!
Last Spring I got to head back to my alma mater, Chatham High School, to teach a three day workshop to the drama students!
I recently had the privilege of collaborating with Martha Gelnaw Consulting on workshop for non theatrical workers using Bunraku puppets as a means to explore our relationship with team building and collaboration in the workplace. We had a great group of bankers dive in and challenge themselves. I'm looking forward to developing the course even further. Check out Martha's work here: http://www.presence-impact.com
