I'm spending this week rehearsing with Iranian artist Hamid Rahmanian in preparation for a one off shadow show as part of The Asia Society's "Spring into Nowruz" festival happening this Saturday, March 14th.

The shadow puppets are beautifully constructed laser cut illustrations created by Hamid. We'll be performing alongside a storyteller and live musicians. Apparently last year they played to a packed house of 600 parents and kids!
